Bugbear!

Today I used the word "bugbear" in a sentence for the first time. The sentence was:

"It has been a bit of a bugbear, but i think in the end it will be worth it."

A synonym for "bugbear" is "bugaboo."

Phil Olsen speaks out on beards + NFL Quarterbacks

From the New York Times:

"It's absolutely a revolution," said Phil Olsen, the self-appointed captain of Beard Team U.S.A., which competes in the biannual World Beard and Moustache Championships. At the recent event in Berlin, an American captured just one of the 17 events: sideburns. But Americans are increasingly competitive, Olsen said, making his truly a growth sport.

As he put it: "Men are saying, 'We are going to be who we want to be.' "

Jim Cooke is officially affiliated with the Association of Lincoln Presenters, although he does not dress up or talk like Lincoln.

The NYCBMC are a charitable event being held for the first time ever in New York.
